My name is Chris Chaplin. I have set up Property Probate Valuations as part of my regular surveying business to assist in demystifying the probate process and to remove one of the many worries that clients have in dealing with the death of a loved one.

I have been asked to undertake a number of Probate valuations for existing and new clients over the last few years.
I quickly realised that clients need more help in this area than many others not least as they have often little or no idea what property the Deceased owned or where to find the information needed to complete a valuation.

I am sensitive to the various issues involved and will do my best to make the process as painless as possible for you.
I have been a Qualified Chartered Surveyor since 1985 and have acquired a good working knowledge of all aspects of the property industry. I am a Registered Valuer with the RICS (Royal Institution of Chrtered Surveyors) and regularly undertake valuations of different types of property.

Unlike many Valuers, I am thus completely comfortable valuing both commercial and residential property which, in many cases, is important in Probate matters. In particular, a Mixed Use property will need the skills of a multi-disciplined valuer.
